Who are Desk Adjusters and what do they do?

A desk adjuster is responsible for assisting in the resolution of all forms of claim-related complaints and inquiries as well as supporting insurance claims activities.

What are their responsibility/Mandatory functions?

A desk adjuster is responsible for assisting in the resolution of all forms of claim-related complaints and inquiries as well as supporting insurance claims activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES/MANDATORY FUNCTIONS:

– Desk Adjusters adhere to all PCS (Property Claims Services) and insurance client rules regarding, but not limited to, work conduct, customer service, policy, claims procedure, estimate writing, and claim closures as they relate to the given claim assignment.

– To ensure timely contact with the insured, Desk Adjusters provide outstanding customer care to all assigned insured claimants throughout the claims process.

– Desk Adjusters respond to questions that emerge from a hotline number. Calls must be documented or logged, and call volume must be reported to management.

– Desk Adjusters examine open or closed claims.
