Katie Sophia was born in Connecticut and graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a bachelor’s degree in journalism/public relations. She moved to Charleston, South Carolina in 2014 and later attended Charleston School of Law, graduating in 2021.
Ms. Sophia’s experience includes working as a paralegal in personal injury at Anastopoulo Law Firm before attending law school and clerking for the Yelverton Law Firm during law school. In law school Katie was a member of her school’s Alliance for Equality and the Tri-country Human Trafficking Task Force. After graduating from law school Ms. Sophia worked in family law at the Brinkley Law Firm where she handled divorces, custody, adoptions and family building. Katie later worked at Crawford and von Keller where she attended hearings frequently involving land lord tenant disputes, collections cases and foreclosures. Katie’s interest in insurance litigation ultimately led her to her work at Chad T. Wilson Law Firm.
Katie is an active aerialist and aerial instructor. In her free time, she loves to explore all the culinary delights of Charleston and lives in Hanahan, South Carolina with her fiancé, three cats, husky and chickens.
