Allen B. Landon’s career path may have been winding, but it’s one that, he always knew, would lead him to the legal field. With a father, uncles, great uncles and cousins all in the profession, it seemed an inevitability.
After graduating from Southwestern University in 2005, Mr. Landon’s wide range of interests led him to roles in sales, brewing and most recently, insurance. It was the latter role that finally inspired the Eagle Scout to enroll at the South Texas College of Law Houston.
As an insurance agent, Mr. Landon felt his hands were tied by the system when clients suffered after a claim was denied or underpaid. “By joining Chad T. Wilson Law,” he shared, “I’ve found an opportunity to apply my six-plus years of insurance experience, as well as strong understanding of insurance contracts, to my work. And, I endeavor to make a difference for clients as we work to truly make them whole following a loss.”
Mr. Landon earned his Juris Doctorate in 2016, graduating with multiple honors and publications to his name. During law school, he furthered his legal education through internships for the Honorable Judges Jaclanel McFarland and Mike Engelhart. He also served the school as the managing editor of the Texas Journal of Business Law, and as a Langdell Scholar, a teacher’s assistant role in which he helped his peers improve their studies as well as their final exam performance.
Upon graduation, Mr. Landon earned his Texas License, ready to get to work. “Being an attorney presents endless opportunities to help others and assist with the evolution of key concepts and rules that govern the world we live in,” he shared. “To me, that’s both a challenge I accept and a reality I find quite exciting.”
Currently licensed to practice law in the state of Texas, Mr. Landon focuses his practice on first party property insurance litigation.
